Potato planting was a complete success! We had over 20 people show up, many of them kids. Seemed like everyone had a great time, got a little exercise, a little fresh air and not too much sun. All the potatoes got planted. A beautiful day in many ways. So thank you to all that made it Sunday afternoon. Your help will benefit all the members of the farm!
Wait. How does putting in a couple hours of fun planting potatoes provide a benefit to the other 300+ members?
Just a quick reminder that the potato planting party is on Sunday April 18th from 1:00 to 4:00. Wear your farm clothes and bring a bucket or two; it makes for easier potato carrying. Park by the yellow building and walk down the driveway until you find us at the very end.
Come one, come all to the annual Fresh Earth Farms Potato Planting Party. This year the party is startin’ early, early in the season that is. Typically we don’t plant potatoes until the last week or so of April. This year we are moving it up a week earlier to Sunday April 18th. We’d move it up even earlier but have too many other conflicts on the prior weekends.
Here are the details:
Date: Sunday April 18th Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm or until we are tired or done
