For week 2 we’ve expanded our repertoire significantly. A FamilyShare this week receives snap peas, snow peas, garlic scapes, radishes, green onions, green garlic, swiss chard, two types of lettuce (one is a small romaine called little gem — delicious!), beets, bok choi and kohlrabi.

A couple updates to the newsletter:
Cherries are delayed due to cold weather. They will be here the week of 6/20.
We have the opportunity to purchase more blueberries. If you would like to order blueberries a la carte please let me know. They have been delicious this season The price is $63 for 12 pints.
Finally, I wish my camera could take pictures of smells. The aroma emitting from the garlic scapes is wonderful!

It is such a beautiful day today that I don’t have time to write a lot for this newsletter. Where is the rain when you need it? I was planning on writing it yesterday when they forecasted storms for Monday morning but as we all experienced there were no storms – not even a drop of rain. Every member of the farm should have received an email or two regarding pick-ups, which are starting next Wednesday. If you did not receive an email and think you are a member of the farm, please contact me immediately – or sooner if possible. Why Wednesday? Plants have a different calendar than humans. They start their workweek on Wednesdays. So we just have

It has been a while since the last newsletter. That tends to happen when we get a string of dry days.
This spring has been incredibly compressed. And what happens when you compress a spring incredibly? Lots of tension!!! Ok, that might not be accurate for you physicists out there but for we farmers compressing a spring brings a lot of tension. As we have all experienced, this spring has been cold and wet until this past week when it became extremely hot and dry. With the late arrival
