The veggies keep on coming! This week we have cauliflower, potatoes, green beans, yellow beans, basil, cucumbers, summer squash, onions, broccoli, sweet corn, eggplants and cherry tomatoes! Quite a diverse selection!

We’ve had weather all week this week. It never stops. Day after day after day more weather weather weather. Not much you can do about it so we farmers just suffer through.
Not much happening on the farm these days. Just a lot of harvesting, weeding and planting. What? You are still planting? Yup. If we want veggies through October we have to start planting now. And since I am sure everyone is enjoying their broccoli we figured we should plant more for the fall! Of

Welcome to Mediterranean week at Fresh Earth Farms!! Why is it Mediterranean week? Well, it seems a lot of this week’s produce has its roots in Mediterranean cooking. We have basil and eggplants and garlic scapes and cucumbers and fennel – all vegetables found in dishes from the Mediterranean. So get out the Mediterranean cookbooks and start looking up recipes.

The transition continues. This week we have a lot of broccoli, a lot of lettuce, a lot of squash, three cucumbers, kohlrabi, snow peas, onions and new potatoes. The season is starting to shift to more colorful vegetables!
