I hope nothing goes worng.
I think it pretty much says it all. It works on so many levels.
Every member of the farm should have received an email or two regarding pick-ups, which are starting next Wednesday. If you did not receive an email and think you are a member of the farm, please contact me immediately – or sooner if possible. Why Wednesday? Plants have a different calendar than humans. They start their workweek on Wednesdays. So we just have to work with their schedule.
Blueberries: The first FruitShare will be Blueberries. We have a lot of orders for blueberries but can take more if there are others who are interested. These have been favorites of many of our farm members in the past and I suspect this year the crop will be equally delicious. Please let me know by noon Monday if you would like to order blueberries. You do not have to be a FruitShare customer to order them!
CheeseShare: CheeseShare starts next week as well. If you’d like to add Cheese to your account let us know by the end of this week! This is delicious, organic, raw milk cheese from pasture raised cows.
WorkShares: We have a limited number of WorkShares available. If you or someone you know is interested in working on the farm in exchange for vegetables please contact us. We have both Monday and Wednesday WorkShares available. I can fill you in on the details if you are interested.
Regular Shares: We still have plenty of shares to sell. Tell everyone you know! To try and sell some of the remaining shares we are offering an upgrade program. Upgrade from CoupleShare to FamilyShare or SingleShare to CoupleShare for only $195! Ensure you are well fed this summer. Add another family member or neighbor to your share. Have some leftovers for freezing and canning!
And for those FamilyShare members who pick-up at the farm you can add additional SingleShares to your FamilyShare for only $195. This is a limited time offer. Please let us know as soon as possible! Help keep farming local!
Recipes: We have a lot of recipes on our web site but can always use more. Please send them our way or if you would like to be more helpful I can add you as a contributor to our blog. This is a Community Supported Agriculture farm; help support your community!
Finally, for those who are new to CSA you might want to check out this blog posting from last season. There is a lot of helpful advise from our members.
Hey wait, is there any news about the farm? Sure. We got rain. We got sun. We got cool temperatures. Everything looks great — except for the peas, which are not as prolific as they’ve been in the past. I hope to have another newsletter posted on Tuesday with our best guess as to what you will receive during the week. I think I will save all the juicy gossip for that newsletter.
As always, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us!
